In 2024 we celebrate some apocalyptic milestones, it’s 45 years since Mad Max‘s revenge-filled vigilante tootled about the wasteland and, as well as recently witnessing Max’s pal Furiosa’s origin and a new Ape kingdom – washed down with some Nuka-Cola from Fallout – it’s also, unbelievably, 25 years since The Matrix made us doubt what world we were actually living it at all. The end is very much here. So with that in mind, we have put together this useful guide to everything cinematic world ending.
