Box Of Delights

Our latest ‘zine is unlike anything you’ve seen before…

Some might say Christmas cards and film magazines are a thing of the past – bits of paper that no one really cares about anymore, shoved through letterboxes. Well, for Issue 16 of our eponymous in-house fanzine, we thought the opposite. We thought, “what if a film magazine could be made of Christmas cards?” So that’s exactly what we’ve done. Tapping into our team members’ prodigious practical creative skills, we challenged them to create a set of Christmas cards — each card entirely unique — celebrating films they believe should be watched at this particular time of year whether it’s traditionally labelled a Christmassy sort of film or not*.
You hold the fruits of their work in your hands — a dozen cards inspired by wonderful films that have a special resonance at this time of year, some of which will be familiar to you, others perhaps less so. Each has been honoured in linocut, photography, embroidery, water colour painting or graphic design; and, on the reverse of the cards you’ll find essays, poems and even recipes that go deeper into the film, giving you all the more reason to watch them this year.
Each card is a collaboration between an artist and a writer who we’re proud to have as part of the Industria team and collected together they form a film magazine unlike any other. We have a limited number of 30 boxes to sell in our shop, so grab them before they are gone.

*No Die Hard isn’t one of them…
